Multiple Alignmentsearch for term

A set of biosequences arranged in a table such that each row of the table consists of one sequence padded by gaps. An Optimal Multiple Alignment is one that has the highest degree of similarity, or the lowest cost. (http://www.netsci.org/Science/Bioinform/terms.html)
